Homeless Prevention Specialist
Sophia started working at ACCESS Housing in 2020 and currently serves as the Homeless Prevention Specialist. Sophia is the first point of contact with all our clients for our Homeless Prevention Program under our current TANF contract along with direct assistance funding provided through our other grants and contracts.
Through her lived experiences, Sophia provides an added level of insight to our family case management efforts that few can match in reaching our families “where they are” during their transition with us.
Sophia holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State University of Denver and is currently completing her Master's degree. Additionally, Sophia has two years of experience working in social services.
Community Liaison/Case Manager
Belinda serves as the Bi-Lingual Community Liaison for ACCESS Housing. She is the first point of contact with all Spanish-speaking clients for both our Shelter and our Homeless Prevention Program. Through lived experience which includes ACCESS Housing over a decade ago, Belinda provides an added level of insight to the unique culture of our Case Management program. Belinda brings a wide array of previous work experiences and connections through her roles with A Precious Child, Servicios de la Raza, and local volunteer efforts with the Hope Center in Commerce City. Belinda has received certifications as a Psychotherapist and Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC I and II) from the Colorado School for Family Therapy and also has a ministry license from the Word Alive Institute.
