Ashley Dalzell

Ashley Dalzell
Executive Director

Ashley serves as the Executive Director of ACCESS Housing providing the overall leadership direction, business expertise and prudent management oversight related to the agency’s day-to-day operations as well as Board strategic planning and fiduciary oversight.

With over twenty years of experience in for-profit, international corporations, non-profit business development, board experiences and public service examples, Ashley brings a depth of knowledge to round out ACCESS Housing’s overall business growth and agency leadership.

Having joined ACCESS Housing in January 2021, Ashley has quickly made an impact by implementing financial and project management initiatives to renovate our shelter facility units. These shelter improvements will directly impact our ability to service more families with stable transition housing on our property.

Ashley holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from Miami University in Oxford, OH and has just completed her tenure as the Board President of Children’s House Montessori School.

Sophia Henderson
Homeless Prevention Specialist

Sophia serves as the Homeless Prevention Specialist for ACCESS Housing. Sophia is the first point of contact with all our clientele for both our Shelter Program and our Homeless Prevention Program under our current TANF contract along with direct assistance funding provided through our current Adams County CSBG and Commerce City CDBG-CV3A contracts.

Through her lived experiences along with celebrating her one-year work experience with ACCESS Housing, Sophia provides an added level of insight to our family case management efforts that few can match in reaching our families “where they are” during their transition with us.

Sophia holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State University of Denver and two years of experience working in social services.

Devin Ayala
Program Coordinator

Devin serves as the new Program Coordinator bringing a local energy to the variety of wrap-around services and community outreach that ACCESS Housing is able to offer. Devin works with Sophia as another frontline contact with all our clientele for both Shelter Program and Homelessness Prevention efforts - specifically under our Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) contract.

Prior experiences include three years as a Family Service Coordinator with Brothers Development assisting families on-property and in the community with housing, jobs, education and mental health assistance to name a few networking referrals as well as such noted community events like toy giveaways, meal coordination, winter coat drive and even COVID testing for local families. Devin's work with many youth in the community stems from his seven years as a Youth Services Specialist with the Gilliam Youth Center focused on Denver inner city youth housing and gang relations.

Joining the team in October 2021, Devin can empathize with many families as to balancing work with parental responsibilities as he juggles every day with his own families' diverse needs. Devin holds an associate's degree from Red Rocks Community College and is pursuing a Criminal Justice degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
